Society of Legacy Donors

A legacy donor will contribute a minimum of $100,000 to the Waco ISD Education Foundation. This endowment will become the matching challenge for the community drive each year for the Education Foundation.

Recognition of the individuals or organizations will be a part of each annual effort. They will be listed on all publications and promotions for the annual drive. The Legacy Donors will establish a benchmark for the community each year in contributions. They will provide the “challenge” grant for other contributors each year.

Permanent recognition will be established on a specially dedicated wall in the district to provide continual recognition of the Legacy Members.

Investment funds plus annual gift donations will become a part of the grant awards to teachers for enhancement of educational experiences for their students.

ENDOWMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Named Endowed Young Staff Award
$10,000 minimum endowment gift
This fund will provided a minimum of $100 to each first year teacher in Waco Public Schools to assist in the creation of their first classroom.

Named Endowed Memorial Award
$10,000 minimum endowment gift
This fund will provide grants to campuses/programs in the name of a person that the donor would like to honor or memorialize. Criteria may be set by the donor.

Named Endowed Enhanced Experiences Grant
$25,000 minimum endowment gift
This fund provides for student travel and extended experiences which will impact the academic development of students.

Named Endowed Classroom Teacher Development
$25,000 minimum endowment gift
This fund provides for extended development or motivational awards for teachers that will impact their classroom instruction.

Named Endowed Early Childhood Grant
$50,000 minimum endowment gift
This fund will provide program grants for students ages three through the third grade to ensure their early development for learning.

Named Endowed Discretionary Grant
$50,000 minimum endowment gift
This fund provides campus projects that enhance teaching in the classroom of Waco public schools. Subject/activity area or criteria may be determined by the donor.

The Legacy fund will provide money for grants and will establish the benchmark for community contributions each year.
