What is The Columbus Moment?

The concept of The Columbus Moment is the instant that learning "clicks" for a student. At all stages of childhood, there are moments where previous knowledge connects with new concepts and complete comprehension is discovered.

The Waco ISD Education Foundation funds Innovative Educator Grants for creative projects that help students to discover Columbus Moments for themselves.
